Prince of Peace Cathedral
Covenant and Prince of Peace are long-term partners, working together to enhance the worship experience through thoughtful technology that remains clear, reliable, and unobtrusive. Over years of growth and modernization, this collaboration has focused on delivering advanced capability without ever complicating the act of worship.
The Challenge
As the parish prepared for significant expansion in 2011, leadership faced the challenge of creating a technologically advanced worship environment that upheld liturgical integrity while accommodating increased seating capacity—now nearly 1,900. Later, in a post-COVID context, the parish needed to modernize again, this time focusing on broadcast-ready systems, improved video communication, and a more efficient, unified audio infrastructure. The overarching challenge across every project remained the same: deliver cutting-edge capability without complicating the worship experience.
Covenant’s Solution:
Covenant approached each phase of work with a comprehensive design-engineering-installation strategy tailored to the parish’s evolving ministry needs.
2011 Expansion Project:
Covenant delivered a forward-thinking system for its time, integrating a Crestron control platform, a Meyer Mina line array with Galileo processing, large-format rear projection, and a Soundcraft SI digital mixing platform. This design supported the expanded sanctuary while maintaining a seamless and reverent environment.
2022 Campus-Wide System Updates:
In response to the changing technical demands brought on by hybrid worship and increased video needs, Covenant implemented a theatrical lighting system optimized for broadcast, upgraded Panasonic and Ross video systems, refreshed Crestron control and video distribution, and deployed a fully modernized audio backbone anchored by the Allen & Heath Avantis platform.
Across all phases, Covenant’s engineering and installation teams worked closely with parish sta to ensure intuitive operation and minimal disruption to ongoing ministry.
Lessons Learned
Each project deepened Covenant’s understanding of balancing liturgical tradition with technological advancement. Key lessons included the importance of scalable infrastructure, the need for systems that support both in-person and remote engagement, and the value of controls and workflows that empower sta and volunteers rather than overwhelm them.
Key Takeaways and Ongoing Partnership
Prince of Peace remains a model of how long-term client relationships allow for thoughtful planning, consistent system evolution, and proactive support. Covenant continues to serve the parish with routine maintenance, system upgrades, and strategic planning for future needs. The shared commitment to enhancing worship experience ensures this partnership will remain strong and forward-looking for years to come.
